De ISA-5.1-standaard voor Instrumentation and Control – Symbols and Identification is in 2024 grondig vernieuwd.
Belangrijkste wijzigingen:

• Uitgebreidere scope – nu ook expliciet Control in de titel en inhoud
• Nieuwe & aangepaste symbolen voor o.a. gedeelde displays, externe setpoints, vlamionisatie, actuatoren
• Betere leesbaarheid en duidelijkere tabelstructuur
• Loopdiagram-symbolen toegevoegd
• Annexen verplaatst naar twee aparte technische rapporten:
  • ISA-TR5.1.02-2024: Identification System Guidelines
  • ISA-TR5.1.03-2024: Graphic Symbol Guidelines
